For the third round of guest lunches, Fancy Hank's invites Rice Paper Scissors to take over the smoker, injecting their unique blend of Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino cuisine to the smoker.
Rice Paper Scissors head chef Ross Magnaye’s love of food came from his Grandma, a restaurant owner in his native Philippines. After training as a pastry chef at Burch & Purchese, Ross went to help open the late Little Hunter and gain experience in international institutions such as D.O.M, Aziamendi and pop up events at Meat Smith in Singapore.

Joining him will be co-owner and chef Shane Stafford, the man behind Rice Paper Scissors’ distinct blend of south-east Asian hawker-style dishes.

The lunch will see Ross and Shane smoke fresh seafood, pork and lamb, taking influences from across south-east Asia. Featuring traditional Balinese Babi Guling, Filipino style lamb ribs, smoked scallops and cured kingfish, expect a medley of traditional and contemporary flavours.

Fancy Hank's presents an all-IPA spectacular!

Featuring a selection of hopped wonder's from Fixation Brewing, Wolf of the Willows Brewing Co. and New Belgium Brewing.

These will be paired with a selection of Hank's signature low and slow cooked American barbecue. Along with 5 IPAs, there will be canapes, starters, smoked meats and dessert.

Tom Delmont of Fixation Brewing Co. and Scott McKinnon, head brewer of Wolf of the Willows Brewing Co. will introduce and walk through the beers as well as host a Q&A session.
