RECIPE: OVEN-BAKED BABY BACK RIBS

No smoker? No worries. Cook your own baby-back ribs at home in the oven. Don’t be daunted, it’s way easier than you think.

Serves 4 (if accompanied by other dishes)
Serves 2 (if you’re both very hungry)

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Trim any fat or extras off the ribs.

  3. To remove the membrane, slide the tip of your knife under the membrane covering the back of each rack of ribs. Lift and loosen the membrane until it breaks, then grab a corner of it with a paper towel and pull it off.

  4. Generously coat ribs (both sides) with a mustard of your choice (we like one with a little heat).

  5. Then coat (both sides) with BBQ Pepper and Taco Rub.

  6. Throw it in the oven, uncovered on a baking dish or pan, for two hours.

  7. After two hours, remove from the oven and coat both sides with Original BBQ Sauce.

  8. Wrap in foil and back in the oven for an additional hour.

  9. After an hour, remove from oven, remove foil, and baste again with Original BBQ Sauce. Put back in the oven for a further hour, basting every 20 minutes.

  10. Cut in between bones into riblets and serve.
